Hosted by Fork Around & Find Out
In Detroit and beyond, food sovereignty is not a trend…it is daily practice. It lives in backyard beds, community gardens, seed exchanges, shared meals, and in the hands of growers who understand nourishment as both care and resistance. When our government shuts down due to bureaucratic fights for power rooted in capitalism, it is our neighbors who nourish us. Those planting seeds of hope for a better future do the work when the air is cold and the ground is still firm.
We Collaborated with farmers in the Detroit area to publish Sovereign Cookin' Vol.1 a collection of recipes and personal testimonials attesting to the power of food sovereignty.
On March 12th, 2026 we hosted a dinner with our friends over a Fork Around and Find Out to celebrate and thank all who contributed to the publication. The menu (Fork Around and Find Out) was thoughtfully crafted to highlight meals from Sovereign Cookin'.
